About Us
The mission of Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is to affect on consciousness of Americans, Serbs and their friends through planned projects, social and humanitarian activities in order to develop and foster better society for future generations and provide aid for underprivileged families in need. Although there are many humanitarian organizations and associations, help often doesn't reach the most jeopardized. Due to unnecessary administration, missing information and slow decision making, the delivery of aid arrives too late to the final consumers, or not at all. It is a sad and embarrassing, but true fact that more than 18.000 children daily die around the world because of starvation and malnutrition. There, among us, the blind and deaf. We are witnesses of the bad demographic situation of our nation, decreasing natality, increasing number of singles, abortions, accelerated aging of

Ambitions
Our mission The mission of Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is to affect on consciousness of Serbian people through our projects and humanitarian activities, in order to develop better society for future generations.
Why Serbs for Serbs? We wanted to alleviate impaired spirit of Serbian people in togetherness and brotherhood help through humanitarian work and social aid.
Who do we help? We help Serbian families who live in the Balkans, have five or more children and live in terrible poverty. Under terrible poverty we define absence of one or more basic factors required for living: food, clothes, shoes, and safe space for living.
Why do we help? We believe that there is a basic need for one human (or a group) to help others in distress. A help is not only human virtue but also a Christian responsibility. By focusing our help on families with many children, we directly affect on their stirring toward becoming independent from social-dependable government programs.
What are our long term goals?
• family is ready to support itself daily and manage to pay all required expenses;
• their children are encouraged to continue with school and raising their own family;
• our donors are satisfied with the activities and they are ready to help other families;
• our organization is satisfied with the results;
• family is ready in the future to become our donor and if necessary help other families that are in need of help.
Who do we need in organization? We need members and donors that will secure financial stability through supporting our programs and activities in the future. Donors may join our daily activities within the organization in order to coordinate our work better. We also need volunteers ready to donate several hours per week for actual work within the organization. Activities of volunteers and their specific tasks would be determined by the required projects and their personal interest. From that group of volunteers we would look for future leaders of organization.

SFS VISITING FAMILY MILENKOVIC
Members of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs from Nis visited a seven-member family Milenkovic from the village Todorovce in Leskovac municipality, in order to get to know the conditions under which the family lives. We provided groceries in the amount of 3.758 dinars. The family consists of father Dragan, mother Ivana and children Stefan (11), Lazar (9), Djordje (5), Anastasija (3) and Ognjen (one month old).
The family Milenkovic lives in difficult conditions, in a house in which only one room is functional. The ceiling in other rooms is made of mud, reed and beams, and it is impossible to renovate them, because it might collapse.
The current condition inside Milenkovics’ home near the
city of Leskovac, south Serbia
The income of the family consists of the salary of the father (17.000) and child benefit. The total income is 27.000 dinars. The family is receiving the child benefit since Anastasija was born. Another member of the family is a grandmother who hardly moves. They used to have four goats which died, probably due to the bad conditions in the barn.
Home of family Milenkovic
The family took part in the public tenders, in hope of receiving several goats. Apart from the goats, they need manger for goats, which could be built in an old house. Charity organization Serbs for Serbs, in cooperation with its donors and friends will try to help family Milenkovic.

CHARITY NIGHT "SRCEM ZA DRAGOJEVICE"
On Saturday, March 22 2014, a small group of good hearted people got together at Adriatic Café in Chicago for a good cause. The goal was to raise funds to help the Dragojevic family build a new home. On a cold Chicago night, when it was easier to stay home in a warm bed, these good people came out to support the work of our Humanitarian Organization Serbs for Serbs and help the Dragojevic family. And help they did, these 40 or so people were able to raise $2,105 dollars in a single evening for this family in need.
Along with the $300 donation from Riggz Transport and $200 from Beograd Café, Serbs for Serbs in Chicago was able to collect $2,605 for the Dragojevic family. The atmosphere that evening was wonderful thanks to the talented Milos Djordjevic who not only donated his services for the evening, but was the original spark to have the event for the Dragojevic family. Also, a special thank you has to be given to Adriatic Café and owner Tanja Mirovic for allowing us to have our charity event in their wonderful location.

Hopefully, we will have many more events at Adriatic and can, together, help many more struggling Serbian families. Many of our donors this evening are good friends of our organization, but we also met many new people who were moved by what we are trying to do. It is only proof that there are still many good people in this world who are willing to help those in need.
We here in Chicago will continue to do what we can to make the lives of those children and their families better and better.
