Foxcoms Dense Wavelength-Division Multiplexer (DWDM) can combine up to 40 fiber outputsfrom Foxcom fiber optic transmitters into one single fiber. Each transmitter transmits on adifferent optical wavelength. DWDM technology uses ITU standard 1.6nm spacing between thewavelengths. Each wavelength is transmitted on a separate single mode fiberoptic cable andthen multiplexed onto a single fiber. Foxcoms Dense Wavelength-Division Demultiplexerreverses the process, separating the light into 16 separate fiber paths.
With Foxcoms DWDM solution, transmitting multiple L-Band and 70/140 IF Band signals over
a single fiber becomes a simple and cost effective process. DWDM overcomes the need forinstalling new fiber or leasing cables. By using Foxcoms DWDM solution, long distancetransmission can be achieved.
