મ ઇ લામમા ંમાણસના ૃ ય પછ મડદાને દાટવામા ંઆવે છે, તેમ સતપથંમા ંપણ માણસના ૃ ય પછ તેના મડદાને દાટવામા ંઆવે છે.
ઈિતહાસના નજરથી જોઈએ તો એ ુ ંકારણ મા એટ જુ હ ુ ં ક સતપથંના ધમ ચારકો ારા તેમના અ યુાયીઓનો ઇ લામી ર ત ર વાજોનો ચાર કર તેમને ઇ લામ ધમ પાળતા કર દવા.
પણ જયાર ક છ કડવા પાટ દાર ાિતમા ંલગભગ ૧૦૦ વષ પહલા, નારાયણ રામ લ બાણી, રતનશી ખીમ ખેતાણી અને સતં ઓધવરામ મહારાજના યાસોના કારણે, ધાિમક િૃત આવી અને લોકોને ખબર પડ ક સતપથં ધમને ક લ ગુનો સાચો હ ુ ધમ તર ક તેઓ પાળતા હતા, તે સતપથં ધમ તો વા તવમા ંઇ લામ ુ ંએક ફાં ુ ં છે.
સતપથંીઓ હમેશા હ ુઓની વ ચે હ ુ ઓળખ અપનાવીને રહતા આ યા છે.પણ જયાર સતપથં ુ લમ ધમ છે તેવી ણ સવને થઇ, યાર મોટા ભાગના સતપથંીઓને સતપથંના ર ત ર વાજો
પાળવામા ંશરમ તેમજ જક અ ભુવવા લા યા.આવા અ ભુવોના કારણે લોકો સતપથં ધમના ળૂ ર ત ર વાજો છોડવા લા યા. તેમાની એક ુ ય ર ત હતી, મડદાને દાટવાની થા. ધીર ધીર
મોટ સં યામાં લોકો સતપથંની આ થાને છોડ ને મડદાને અ નદાહ આપવની થા અપનાવવાલા યા.
ઇ લામ સાથે જોડાણ ટકાવી રાખનાર િૂમદાગ / િૂમદાહ થાને સતપથં અ યુાયીઓ ારા િતલાજં લ આપવાના કારણે સતપથંના ચારકો ચિતત થયા. કારણક જો આ ુંચાલ ુ ંરહશે તો એક દવસ સતપથંમા ંકોઈ રહ રહ અને સતપથં ધમ બદં થઇ જશે.

સતપથંના ચારકોએ આના માટ બુ જ ુ ત વૂક યાસો કયા. તેઓએ અથવવેદની ચાર ઋચાઓ ુ ં ુ ંઅથઘટન ક .ુ તે ઋચાઓ નીચે માણે છે. (સં ણૂ િવગત આ સાથે જોડલ ફાઈલ-િવ લેષણ મા ંછે.)

ઉપર જણાવેલ ચાર ઋચાઓ એવી છે ક કોઈની િમલકતમા ંક જ યામા ંકાઇંક મેલી વ ુ દાટલી હોય તો તેવી મેલી વ નેુ ુ ત કર ને એ િમલકત ક જ યા પિવ કરવા માટ મં ો છે. ઉપર જણાવેલ મં ો ુ ં જુરાતી ભાષાતંર જોશો તો તમને સમ શે ક મેલી િવ ાના યોગથી ટ થયેલ કોઈ જ યાને પિવ કરવા માટ આ મં ોનો ઉપયોગ થાય છે.

હ ુ વેદો માણે મડદાના િનકાલને " યે ટ" કમ કરવાય. આ યે ટ કમનો ઉ લેખ હ ુ અથવ વેદમા ં ાય પણ નથી. આનો ઉ લેખ મા ય ુવદમા ંછે. ય ુવદના ૩૯મા ંઅ યાયમાંયે ટ કમના બારામા ં ણકાર આપેલ છે. તેમા ંચો ખે ચો ુ ંજણાવેલ છે ક મડદાને ાર
