available anywhere. 6 SATA ports, RAID 0/ 1/ 0+1/ 5 mode provided by NVIDIA nForce
Professional 3600 MCP and optional SAS RoC feature enabled to fill the needs of most
internal RAID installation securing platform availability and data safety.
Besides the die shrink to 45nm process, “Shanghai” enjoys advantages based on higher
frequency bump, HyperTransport Technology 3.0 up to 17.6GB/s, increased L3 cache
capacity, more memory bandwidth, Smart Fetch reducing 21% power savings, improved
data integrity from “L3 cache index disable” designed to protect data against L3 cache
errors, enhanced virtualization by RVI (Rapid Virtualization Indexing) for up to 25%
faster “world switch” time, and last but not least, 20-30% performance improvement
over 65nm Quad-core Opteron “Barcelona”. All power efficiency innovations improve
power consumption during idle: up to 35% lower power per processor, and up to 12%
lower power at platform-level.
