Serving AsPriests

Ex. 19:5 Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep

my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all

peoples, for all the earth is mine; Ex. 19:6 and you shall be to me a

kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words that you shall speak to the people of

Israel."

Exo 28:1 "Then bring near to you Aaron your brother, and his sons with him, from among the people of Israel, to

serve me as priests—Aaron and Aaron's sons, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and

Ithamar. Exo 28:2 And you shall make holy

garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty.

Exo 28:3 You shall speak to all the skillful, whom I have filled with a spirit of skill,

that they make Aaron's garments to consecrate him for my priesthood.

1Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal

priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own

possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies

of him who called you out of darkness into his

marvelous light.

He must be a seminary Graduate?

He must be a seminary Graduate? He must be one who has vowed celibacy?

1Tim. 4:1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by

devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons,

1Tim. 4:2 through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared,

1Tim. 4:3 who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be

received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

He must be a seminary Graduate? He must be one who has vowed celibacy? He must bear a special title of position?

Matt. 23:8 But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one

teacher, and you are all brothers.

Matt. 23:9 And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven.

Matt. 23:10 Neither be called instructors, for you have one

instructor, the Christ.

He must be a seminary Graduate? He must be one who has vowed celibacy? He must bear a special title of position? He wears special attire?

Matt. 23:5 They do all their deeds to

be seen by others. For they

make their phylacteries

broad and their fringes long,

Must be ordained.

And no one takes this honor for himself, but only when

called by God, just as Aaron was.

So also Christ did not exalt himself to be made a high priest, but was appointed

by him who said to him,(Hebrews 5:4-5, ESV)

Matt. 28:18 And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on

earth has been given to me.

Rev. 1:4 John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from him who is

and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne,

Rev. 1:5 and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the

ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood

Rev. 1:6 and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion

forever and ever. Amen.

Lev. 8:6 And Moses brought Aaron and his sons and

washed them with water.

Lev. 8:23 And he killed it, and Moses took some of

its blood and put it on the lobe of Aaron's right ear and on the thumb of his

right hand and on the big toe of his right foot.

Must be ordained. Do not serve according to Old Covenant

regulations.

Heb. 7:11 Now if perfection had been attainable through the Levitical priesthood (for under it

the people received the law), what further need would there have been for another

priest to arise after the order of Melchizedek, rather than one named after the order of

Aaron? Heb. 7:12 For when there is a change in the priesthood, there is necessarily a change in

the law as well.

Hebrews 13:10 We have an altar from which those who serve the tent have no

right to eat.

Must be ordained. Do not serve according to Old Covenant

regulations. Don’t tend to man-made temples.

Act 17:24 The God who made the world and everything in it, being

Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man,

Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells

in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are

that temple. (1 Corinthians 3:16-17, ESV)

Must be ordained. Do not serve according to Old Covenant

regulations. Don’t tend to man-made temples. Have special garments.

Rev. 3:18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white

garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your

eyes, so that you may see.

Rev. 3:4 Yet you have still a few names in Sardis, people who

have not soiled their garments, and they will walk with me in

white, for they are worthy.

Jude 1:22 And have mercy on those who doubt; Jude 1:23 save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating

even the garment stained by the flesh.

Must be ordained. Do not serve according to Old Covenant

regulations. Don’t tend to man-made temples. Have special garments. Still offer sacrifices.

Rom 12:1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to

present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is

your spiritual worship.

Have I been ordained by God?

Do I serve according to the New Covenant of Christ?

Do I serve in His temple, the church?

Am I dressed in white garments?

Am I a living sacrifice in service?
