ABP operates two major container terminals on the Humber, the UK’s busiest trading estuary, at Hull and Immingham. Our terminals offer a combined total of 26 vessel calls every week connecting destinations across Europe and beyond, and we have the expertise, facilities and land available to deliver value-added services for customers. At the Port of Southampton, our partners DPWS operate the UK’s second largest container terminal, handling over 1.5 million TEU every year. ABP’s container terminals in Hull and Immingham offer customers flexible, reliable and efficient supply chain solutions. Over the past 5 years volumes have increased by over 40% as more and more businesses choose to benefit from improved access to UK, European and global markets, as well as the state-of-the-art infrastructure, warehousing and value-added services ABP provides. We work flexibly and collaboratively with customers and constantly invest in our operations to offer the best services available, as well as the room customers need to grow their businesses. ABP is investing £50 million in our container terminals in Hull and Immingham to meet fast-growing customer demand and is on course to boost capacity to more than 500,000 containers each year. Our investment includes brand new Liebherr ship-to-shore cranes and state-of-the-art terminal management systems designed to guarantee a fast, reliable and efficient service. Hull and Immingham also both offer greater flexibility for customers with no forward booking for collections or drop-offs required, as well as value-added services such as devanning and stuffing. The DPWS container terminal in Southampton remains the UK’s second largest container terminal capable of handling the largest vessels in the world. ABP has the capability to invest in and construct facilities tailored to suit your business needs.
