Marwedel & Dubicka, Be Active - The Workbook, Session 2 1 Session 2 Activity Rating In this week’s session we want to look at the activities you do in your life. Your homework diary will help us with that. We want to understand which activities you enjoy, and which ones may give you a sense of achievement. This is because we want you to do more of those sorts of activities. Yes, let’s go! Remember the negative cycle we talked about last time? This was that I feel lower the less I do? Yes! Activity Rating

In this session we are going to look at your weekly

activities and see how they make you feel. We call this

activity rating. This is important because we want you to do

more of the sort of activities that make you feel good.

Some activities make us feel good because we enjoy doing

them. But some activities make us feel good because they

are important to us or make us feel proud. These activities

may not be fun to do, but they give us a sense of achievement

once we have done them. This can be just as rewarding as

completing an activity that you enjoy! There are also

activities that connect us to other people and make us feel

close.

Let’s have a look at your activity diary homework.

Pick out something you have done. Think about each activity

and whether it gave you a sense of enjoyment, achievement

or closeness.

Enjoyment is
