• Based on „european smart cities“ (www.smart-cities.eu)

• Comprehensive and comparable profiles focusing on climate and energy issues

• Visualization of the profiles and the relevant drivers and indicators

• Existing data and frequently used sustainability indicators (e.g. carbon footprint, energy

consumption etc.)

Results:

• common characteristics of (Austrian) cities and urban regions

• applicability to a wide range of cities

• evaluation of trends

• better interpretation and comparison of the different profiles
