“By means of unusual verbal economy, apocalyptic force, strategic use of catchwords and wordplay, the ungodly-faithful antithesis, and triadic illustration, the writer associates past paradigms of ungodliness with his opponents of the present. 1. read Revelation 1-3 this week, preferably in one sitting2. you would really enjoy reading ALL of Revelation!3. while reading, write down answers to the questions below

Structure: Revelation’s seven letters operate according to a general pattern. What are its parts?

2. Message: Revelation’s seven letters discuss different aspects of a broad message. How would you put the letters’ message?

3. Passage: Pay particular attention to Rev. 1.1-8.This passage introduces the book of Revelation. What clues does it offer about what the book will be about?

It is possible that the beginning of Revelation will have a good deal in common with the General Epistles. Do you see any common words or theology with the GE here?

4.Incarnation: How do we and you need to live Revelation?
