Why we are launching this course?

• Growth and demand in the fitness industry – 9.5% of the current Irish population are gym members.

• Growing demand for qualified staff in gyms and health clubs with 9,500 direct employees.

• Current qualifications are focused on getting students through courses as quickly as possible.

• Courses are poorly regulated and minimum standards do not qualify PT’s with a suitable skillset to provide effective and safe exercise programmes.

To quote Dr Liam Hennessy.. (Read the full interview here)

“Current practices are ill informed causing injury or goals not being achieved. Rigorous & professional education is needed within the industry of personal training. Setanta College will bring all that we
