This is the first year for the nationalexecutive directors’ meeting. Executivedirectors from the10 southeastern stateshavemetannuallyduringtheconventionforthelastdecadetosharebestpracticesandlook for solutions to unique and commonchallenges. Duringourexchanges,we’lllearnmoreabout each organiza-tion’s missions andgoals,andtheinternaland external proce-dures developed tomeet them.We alsowill seek to enhancethe networking op-portunities betweenourorganizationsandlookforwaysinwhichwe can support eachother’sgoodwork. G a t h e r i n g t h i sgroup together has been an objective ofmine formanyyears. I believewecanalllearn from each other’s experiences andwork together to enrich each other’s pro-grams,whichcanonlybenefitourfield.Wejust needed a location in which we couldbegin the dialogue.
