Setting and Location

The green screen in our media room will be used to film our video against. It will be used in some of the scenes where the background will be changed in order to fit in with our music video narrative.

We will be filming the scene where the geek/nerd runs home after he was made a fool of at the party on the street.

We will be filming the entrance to the party scene outside a front door. The door represents the rejection the geek faces when he tries to get into the party and he gets turned down.

The park bench signifies the place where Anita and Derrick kindle their relationship. This is a point where the audience can relate as all young people go through relationships. This is also the place where the geek/nerd spies on Anita and Derrick , the park bench therefore represents his jealously.

A number of scenes will take place in the geeks and Anita’s bedroom. This is representative of teenagers as it is where they spend a lot of their time. It is also a place where the geek reflects on his life, something the audience can relate to.

Most of our video shooting will be done in school as our narrative is based on school and teenage relationships. Younger target audience is able to relate to the school setting as this is where they spend most of their time.
