Setting Up Your Own FTP Server

We recommend using Serv-U FTP server to setup your FTPs becauseit is by far the best we have seen.

Why do I want to setup a FTP server? Many of us should have observed that the computer becomes

dead slow when downloading or uploading on dc++. And thedownload speeds are too slow between some users due to some

unknown (possibly the network) problem. And worst of all isthe hashing and verifying hash, the system almost becomesirresponsive.

On both the server and client side, ftp consumes little systemresources. In ftp you can serve and download files with highspeeds without any significant load on the server. So ftp is abetter solution for those who wants to serve with manydownloaders. The best of all is you can upload files into theserver if it is allowed by the server.
