Well, think no more. Recently, thanks to Samsung Electronics Ukraine, Kenzo Takada, one of the world’s famous art-ists, has visited Ukraine. Kenzo Takada – a French Japanese, who has become a real icon and trendsetter in fashion

As many of you might remember, consumers all over Ukraine had a chance to partake in a great IT

monitors promo which ran from 28 December 2011 till 28 February 2012. Consumers, who purchased Samsung LCD Monitors with CCFL and LED matrix, had to register a unique code through SMS and could partake in a prize draw to win one of the great set of prizes including Samsung Galaxy Y – 20 units, Samsung Galaxy SII – 10 units, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 – 10 units, Samsung Series 3 NPC – 10 units and Samsung Smart TV – 3 units.

During the two months campaign supported by in-store and SNS events, over one thousand consumers regis-tered for participation in the final prize draw and on February 29th 53 winners were selected based on the random number selection.

Congratulations to lucky winners and the entire team who ran this suc-cessful project!

Electronics Ukraine has once again shown the superiority of company’s tele-communication products and opened the door to the world of art and allowed Ukrainians to learn the works of the Master using Samsung Galaxy Tab, Galaxy Note and Galaxy SII.

The first day of the grand opening fea-tured media event and the VIP reception attended by hundreds of celebrities and respected journalists. The event itself triggered wide coverage in press and social networks, since Kenzo Takada used Samsung Galaxy Note to autograph one of his works, uniting his artwork with the state-of-the-art technology.

Thousands of Ukrainians had a chance to experience the spirit of high art and read more about Kenzo Takada’s works on the screens of Samsung Galaxy Tabs, Samsung Galaxy Notes and Samsung Galaxy SII’s placed below each artwork. They could also use these devices to share their experiences right from the gallery.

On March 28th, 2012 the President of Ukraine Viktor Fedorovich Yanukovich visited Seoul where

2012 Seoul Nuclear Security Summit took place. Except meetings with leaders of many countries the President’s visit program also included an event of the unique historical value to our company – the meeting with Geesung Choi, Samsung Electronics Vice President and CEO . During the meeting two leaders

The news on President’s meeting with Samsung Electronics raised a large scale wave of online publications and TV cov-erage. The total of over 120 online and offline publications, as well as over 7 TV plots got published and aired on major TV channels of Ukraine (including STB, 1st National TV, ICTV, Era and others) in just a few days.

electronics retail chain. The first wave of the project involves opening up to 200 Samsung departments by the summer in over 70 cities of Ukraine. Shop-in-shop departments will feature Samsung’s mobile devices of the most rapidly devel-

oping product groups including smart-phones, tablets and accessories for them.

Up to 140 shop-in-shop departments will be rolled out by the end of May 2012 in two consumer electronics retail chains – Foxtrot home Appliances (100 stores) and Eldorado (40). On average a shop-in-shop installation occupies the area of 3 to 20 square meters. The installations will be run by professionally trained sales assistants who have deep understanding and knowledge of Samsung products. In addition, Samsung Electronics Ukraine plans to set up 250 “product tables” in smaller scale consumer electronics and mobile shops.

The idea behind the shop-in-shop pro-ject is simple yet demanding. In the era of a wide variety of mobile products it’s hard for consumers to pick the best solu-tion – that’s where Samsung shop-in-shops come in. They offer potential con-sumers to gain user experience and get professional consultancy by sales assis-tants who can help make the right choice in the world of mobile technologies.

Первый наш герой – Владимир Сорокин. Он уже три года руководит отделом продаж в Телекоме. Но пришел он на должность ассистента по поддержке продаж. За пятилетие работы в компании Владимир смог не только выстроить свою карьеру, но и наладить эффективные коммуникации между внутренней и внешней средой отдела. Что же сыграло определяющую роль в развитии его карьеры? Ведь мы знаем, что не каждый ассистент или менеджер может занять кресло главы отдела.

Можно с точностью сказать, что роль образования и семьи для Владимира - неоценимы. Опыт, полученный в процессе обучения, позволяет добиваться успехов на рабочем месте. И речь идет не только о знаниях, но и о стремлении к роли лидера. Владимир рассказывал, что уже со студенческих лет к его рациональным решениям прислушивались, хотя настоящее лидерские качества появились во время работы, когда он стал понимать, что только от твоего решения зависит дальнейший исход дела.

A successful person can achieve success everywhere. We are glad to introduce our new column in Digest – Success Story. We are going to learn more about some

of our colleagues who will be introduced not just like ordinary employees who we can talk to every day. We will follow their way up starting form initial positions of assistants and managers up to the leading positions in the Company.

Our first hero is Vladimir Sorokin. He has been the Head of Sales Department in TC for three years. However, he started as a sales support assistant. For five years of his work in the Company he has established effective communication among inside and outside environments in the department and this allowed him to become a successful leader.

What drove his career? We know that not every assistant or manager can become a head of the department.

We can say exactly that Vladimir’s education and his family played a great role. Experience gained while studying allowed him to achieve success at work. And it concerns not only knowledge. It was more important to feel the striving for leading roles in a team and to gain needed experience. Vladimir told us that even when he was a student people took into consideration his rational solutions, however, only when he started working and understood that results depended on his decisions, he could gain real leadership qualities.

The role of the family is quite simple but in the same time it fulfills one of the main tasks – it gives support, understanding and feeling of happiness.

Vladimir confessed that the main role in his career belongs to the Company because they have been developing together. The Company’s loyalty and its upgrading policy and trust to employees let Vladimir achieve a significant career growth.

Сотрудников в отделе было немного, что делало рабочую среду похожей на семейную. Карьерный рост менеджера по работе с партнерами в 2008 году подразумевал начало работы с более страте-гическими и важными для компании партнерами. Работа с каждым новым партнером – это вызов: полу-чится ли быстро наладить процесс без потери качества? Опыт работы в Samsung и до Samsung, а также четкие жизненные принципы и черты характера помогли мне стать лидером группы».

По мнению Владимира, секрет успешной карьеры достаточно прост - всегда вести себя в соответствии с правилами компании и совестью. А также опыт, цен-ность которого будет видна только через некоторое время. Пять лет в компании – это пять лет обучения.

Решающую роль в карьерном росте Владимир отдает коллективу. Свой отдел он называет родным и близким и говорит, что именно коллектив помогает поддерживать статус успешного руководителя. Здесь уже компания должна увидеть потенциал у сотрудника и строго отсле-живать корпоративные правила и отношения в коллек-тиве. А также не влиять на выполнение задачи напря-мую, а следить за ходом ее выполнения по определен-ным критериям. Проводя такую политику, Samsung «выращивает» руководителей внутри компании.

Принципиальность, целеустремленность, педантич-ность, дружелюбие – все этопомогает подниматься по карьерной лестнице. deeply understand all the processes, and not to think about your career, - says Vladimir. – “Of course, later my ambitions started to grow and I wanted to move ahead. There were just a few members in the department and this made us feel like a family. My promotion to a customer care manager in 2008 implied working with more strategic and important partners. It is very challenging to start working with a new partner – you have to quickly set up the process without losses in quality. Working experience in Samsung and before Samsung, and my clear principles of life and personal traits helped me to become a team leader”.

Vladimir believes that a secret of a successful career is quite simple – always behave yourself in accordance with your company’s principles and with your own conscience. The role of experience is also very big but its value will be seen only after some time. Five years in the Company were five years of studying.

Vladimir’s team had a decisive role in his career growth. He says his department is very dear to him and his team helps him to maintain the status of a successful leader. The Company has to see the potential in its employees and monitor corporate rules and relationships in the team. It should not directly influence the fulfillment of the task but provide clear criteria for doing your job. Following this policy Samsung “grows” its leader inside the Company.

Commitment to principles and targets, scrupulousness, friendliness – all these help to move up the career ladder. And for all new employees and Fresh Graduate participants Vladimir recommends: “When you have to fulfill your task and you know how to do it – just do it without looking at what others do”.

On March, 1, our staff was added by some beautiful girls who had successfully

worked for the company before and showed good results. Natalia Buyko is one of them and she shared her impressions about working in the Company.

Despite outsourcing terms, I like working in the Company and the reason is AV close-knit team. Everything would be much drearier without the guys. It is the AV team which helps you move forward.

The work tends to contain some routine all the time. However, guys sitting next to you help you cope with it. I appreciate that every time I come to my work I see my won-derful colleagues who cheer me up and give their support to move ahead.
