During these times people can call or stop by without having to make an appointment. Parishioners are invited to share any thoughts, concerns, OR QUESTIONS they have with Fr. 5:00 Ave Maria Franz Schubert (1797-1828) Michael Tierney, tenor

There is music in the air. Everywhere can you hear it.It’s a song I can feel it in my soul. Feel it in my soul It’s burning like a fire inside.

It’s a hunger for us all every sister and brother. To unite with a love that’s in our hearts.Love that’s in our hearts. Burning like a fire inside.

We are one, we are one. Because You have overcome. And we will not be shaken. We will not be shaken. Bound together by Your love.

To the broken we will run with Your love arms open.Be the light shining in the dark shining in the dark,

Shining like the stars in the sky. Undivided we will stand hand and hand hearts united,For Your Kingdom the glory of Your name, Glory of Your name.

Shining like the stars in the sky.

One hope one God one faith undivided. One life one truth one way we stand united. One hope one God one faith undivided. One life one truth one way we stand united.

9:30 We Are One (Stand United) Glenn, Cox, and Wilbanks Ascension Children’s Choir

IntroitDomine, * in tua misericordia speravi: Exsultavit cor meum in salutari tuo:

cantabo Domino, qui bona tribuit mihi.

Usquequo Domine oblivisceris me in finem? usquequo avertis faciem tuam a me?

O Lord, I have placed my trust in your merciful love; my heart has rejoiced in your salvation.

I will sing unto the Lord who has dealt bountifully with me.

How long will you forget me, O Lord? Forever? How long will you hide your countenance from me?

-Ps 12:6 and 1

LITURGY OF THE EUCHARIST

5:00 A Simple Song Leonard Bernstein (1918-1990) from Mass

Michael Tierney, tenor

Second Collection The Ascension School

I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,

the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made.

For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.

He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Nicene Creed (Please stand as you are able.)

9:30 Jesus Will Still Be There John Mandeville Ascension Children’s Choir

Things change, plans fail; you look for love on a grander scale.Storms rise, hopes fade, and you place your bets on another day.

When the going gets tough, when the ride’s too rough, when you’re just not sure enough

Jesus will still be there. His love will never change, sure as the steady rain.Jesus will still be there. When no one else is true, He’ll still be loving you.

When it looks like you’ve lost it all, and you haven’t got a prayer, Jesus will still be there.

Time flies, hearts turn, a little bit wiser from lessons learned.Sometimes weakness wins and you lose your foothold once again.

When the going gets tough, when the ride’s too rough, when you’re just not sure enough

11:30 Adonai Ro’i / The Lord Is My Shepherd Gerald Cohen Mundus

God is my shepherd I shall lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul He guides me in the paths of the righteousness for his name’s sake. Even as I walk in the valley of the shadow of death I will not fear any hardship for you are with me Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me before my enemies You anoint my head with oil, my cup runs over. But good and kindness shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in God’s house forever.

God is our refuge and strength; a present help in time of trouble. Though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea, though the waters roar and foam, we will not fear.

Come and behold the work of the Lord, the awesome acts of God. He is in the midst of his people, in all the earth. He is the Word, we are his hands, he will lead us

He is the air, we are his song, we will celebrate his presence all the day long. He is the rain, we are the stones, he will cleanse us

He is the air, we are his song, we will celebrate his presence all the day long.

9:30 Heaven Is Counting on You Boltz and Millikan Ascension Children’s Choir

Heaven is counting on you, Run with a heart that is true. Carry the cross, reaching the lost, heaven is counting on you.

We are standing at the end of time, we are part of a grand design We are grateful to a risen Lord,For the others who’ve gone on before. I hear voices, in the heavenliness. They are calling to you and me.

Saying, “Rise up, there’s a world to win!” I hear them saying again. Heaven is counting on you,Run with a heart that is true Carry the cross, Reaching the lost, Heaven is counting on you.

Many suffered, even gave their lives for the message of the risen Christ. Now they’re watching, seated high above, shouting to us as we run. Heaven is counting on you,

Run with a heart that is true Carry the cross, Reaching the lost, heaven is counting on you. There is a race. There is a prize. There is a price to pay. And the saints beyond, cheer us on today, today.

Heaven is counting on you, run with a heart that is true. Carry the cross, reaching the lost,Heaven is counting on you.

Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three have gathered in my name, I am there in their midst.

Jesu, nil canitur suavius, Nil auditur jucundius,

Nil cogitatur dulcius. Quam Jesus Dei Filius.

Nec littera exprimere, nec lingua valet dicere. Sit nostra in te gloria per cuncta semper saecula!

Jesu.

Jesus, nothing more melodius is sung, Nothing more delightful is heard, Nothing sweeter is ever thought, Than Jesus, the Son of God. No written word can express, no tongue can tell. Be Thou our glory for all time! Jesus.
