ject that finishes as a 90″ square quilt (queen size). The project is

designed by Jeanie Sumrall-Ajero, founder of Kaleidoscope Kreator

Beginning Quilting — Have you wanted to learn how to quilt, but just don’t know where to start?

Join Anna and learn the basic skills of making a quilt top, including choosing fabric, rotary cutting, sewing

an accurate seam, pressing, borders, binding, and a lot more in this six week class. You will be making a

sampler wall hanging top in class as you learn how to make six different quilt blocks. We’ll also show you

other fun ideas on how to use these simple blocks to make larger quilts. This is a great class if you would

like to go back to the basic even if you are not a ―beginning Quilter‖.

Judy Niemeyer Mini Series

Have you always wanted to do a Judy Niemeyer Paper Piecing quilt by feel a little intimidated? Don’t worry

we have the projects for you! We are doing Judy Niemeyer’s smaller projects each month to get to know

her ―language‖ and have some stunning projects when you are done. These classes can also get you

ready to do Congo Star that is starting in April or the Vintage Rose starting in May!!

NEW*** Judy Niemeyer Mini Series

June– Dogwood Placemats

These beautiful placemats will get you to understand Judy’s cutting

techniques, how to sew curves and her appliqué technique. We will also

show you a quick and fast way to cut your binding. Pattern makes 4

placemats finished at 18‖ diameter. Kits available is 3 color ways: Pink/

greens/wine; White/green batiks; and cotton white/green. Want to

create your own kit– make an appointment and we will help you select

your own fabrics.

Next on the flower placemat trail is Impatience.

These are great in any color combination and

would be wonderful on an end table or coffee table. We

will learn the basic paper piece method and fun curves!

center of the flower. We will demo how to bind the

flower curve areas. We will have kits available, but as

always you are welcome to make an appointment and

we will help you select your own kit.

These fun flowers have a little more piecing to them as you learn the

basics of paper piecing and how to read a Judy Niemeyer pattern. You

Not only will you make useful projects to organize your home and work space, but

you’ll learn useful skills and techniques which enable you to make projects that

look professionally handmade, not homemade! Here are some of the techniques

you will master:

· Creating zippers of any length by adding pulls

· Secrets to sewing beautiful bindings

· Making strong durable straps & handles that coordinate with your project
