God sent Jesus, “God is with us.”Jesus sent the Holy Spirit, “God is within us.”

John 16:7

“But I tell you the truth:It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.”

Life in the Holy Spirit

It is a kind of LIFE that GOD wants for us.

Let’s begin…

To all who turn away from a life of sin. To all who receive Jesus as Lord and

Saviour.

Life in the Holy Spirit is available to whom?

Union with God. ( Ephesians 2:18 ) A new nature. ( 2 Corinthians 5:17 ) Power to serve as Jesus' witnesses. ( Acts 1:8 )

With the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit revealsthe Son of God, Christ.

Luke 24:49 “I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”

Receiving the Holy Spirit

John 16:13-15

“But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes,he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you.”

The Holy Spirit reveals Christ

50 days after the Resurrection; Pentecost,

Jesus Christ poured out the Spirit in abundance and revealed him as a divine Person so that the Holy Trinity was fully manifest.

3,000 are converted! The Church was born.

We can receive the same Spiritual Gifts.

Luke 11:9-10“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

God has promised us the Holy Spirit

We just need to ask in FAITH.

Luke 11:11-13“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

We understand Christ because we have the Spirit of Christ.
