Brief History

Sirap Gema, founded in 1957, is today a well-established Industrial Group 100% owned by

Italmobiliare Spa, one of the most important Industrial and Financial groups in Europe.

Sirap Gema operates in the fields of food packaging and thermal-acoustic insulation, through its

commercial network in several European Countries. Its 12 production plants are located in Italy,

France, Poland, Hungary, Russia and Ukraine.

Sirap Gema Group has a total turnover of € 260 million, 26 companies in 23 Countries and 1.500

employees.

Sirap Gema has implemented and maintains a Quality Management System which meets the

requirements of the International Standards ISO 9001:2000.

Innovation in products, processes and manufacturing capability has been the hallmark of our industry.

The Research & Development Department includes a technical staff having specific competence in

the analytical area, as well as in the expanded and non-expanded plastics technologies, food

technologies, technical engineering, Quality Certification procedures, legislation aspects, HACCPrequirements and Certification.

Polymers Volume

Sirap Gema Group consumes 45.000 tons/year of polymers. The 80% of our polymers’ consumptionis GP Polystyrene material. The remaining 20% are made up of EPS (12%), PET (6%) and other 

 polymers (PP, PLA, etc…).

Expansion Plan

Sirap Gema Group is planning to consolidate its business in Europe and to expand in East Europe
