SGL Kümpers combines the advanced processing technologies of the F.A. Kümpers GmbH & Co. KG company in multiaxial fabrics and 2-D or 3-D braiding manufacture with SGL Group’s long-standing ma-terials know-how and production experience in the field of carbon fiber-based prepregs, woven fabrics and composites.
By using innovative textile technologies such as braiding carbon fibers into preforms, SGL Kümpers works alongside its customers in developing new tailor-made products and processes.
The company specializes in the manufacture of preforms (textiles made from high-performance fibers), with particular emphasis on Multiaxial Fabrics as well as 2D- and 3D-Braidings.

Our multiaxial fabrics made from carbon, glass and aramid fibers have a supportive function. Because of the multiaxial alignment of the fibers, they provide higher stability along with a saving in material. They also allow greater flexibility in component design while cutting the time and expense involved in component manufacture.
