PROJECT PROFILE:

Project: Marking Schemes For IP Trace back.

DESCRIPTION: This project presents an approach to IP trace back based on the

probabilistic packet marking paradigm. The call randomize-and-link uses large checksumcordsto link message fragments in a way that is highly scalable, for the checksums serve bothas associative addresses and data integrity verifiers. IP trace back is a name given to any

method for reliably determining the origin of a packet on the Internet. The datagram nature of

the Internet makes it difficult to determine the originating host of a packet the source idsupplied in an IP packet can be falsified (Internet protocol spoofing) allowing for Denial Of

Service attacks or one-way attacks.
