Key stakeholders have agreed to key principles regarding deliverables and IPR

The right to exploit the project results will be governed by the following

general principle:

1. The NORSOK owners represented by Standards Norway have exclusive

rights to exploit project results that reflect what is currently the content of

the NORSOK Z-TI standards.

2. Generic final deliverables, in particular methodology and generic

ontologies, shall be released for use, distribution and further development

and commercialisation once the JIP/Z-TI has finished, subject to "adequate"

license terms safeguarding the purpose of the project.

Regarding background IP, owners of deliverables and user rights

▪ Any input IPR remains with the originators and only materials developed as part of

the JIP will be regarded as deliverables.

▪ JIP deliverables must have designated owners (one owner per deliverable)

▪ All members of the JIP will have full access to input, work-in-progress materials and

deliverables during the JIP as part of the JIP execution.

▪ Upon completion of the JIP all members will be granted user rights to the

deliverables at given conditions reflecting JIP participation.

▪ Business/governance models as developed in the JIP will regulate terms and

conditions for the deliverables after completion of the JIP.
