most in your world. And once you do,
your life will change!

Design of Experiments ( DoE ) Workshop
The DoE workshop was very good !
Everything was made to appear simpler !
You made it so simple that we had to put in our least efforts to
understand the concepts !
Also the examples which you gave helped us to understand the
concepts well !

Questions &
Answers!
We come across lot of
Interesting Questions in
different modes and
happy to share them
along with our answers
to you!
Mr. P Vijay Kumar
Dynamic Stampings, Chennai
Event During APQP & PPAP Workshop
In the
beginning
stage of the
Process, is it
okay to collect
32 samples to
estimate
Process
Capability ?
It is not a good idea to do so, when the Process is not fully established. First focus on any manufacturing process is NOT Capability, but only Stability. We may go for Stability Check to start with. Or else, we shall perform Homogenization ( n = 5 & m = 25 ) to know the Stability of the Process and to compute Revised R bar & Revised X double Bar ( Average of Process Range & Average of Process Mean ). With out doing such basic experiments, it is not wise to estimate Sigma directly, at the time of establishing a new Process.

Ransar 2, Coimbatore
Event During Process FMEA Hand-holding
One of the
Potential
causes is
“incoming Source excess
Variations”.
In P FMEA,
when deciding
the
Recommended
actions, how
shall we
address this ?
1. To implement 100 % check in the Incoming stage(s).
2. To prioritize and implement P FMEA on the Suppliers concerned!
Both these above shall be done with a right spirit, not just as another document in the list! FMEA can do wonders, once it is done meticulously! Your organization itself is a very right example! Appreciations!

Mr. Sakthivel
Mobis Hyundai, Chennai
Event During S P C workshop
In X – MR Chart,
MR bar line will
be at the Centre
of the Chart ?
In X – MR ( Moving Range ) chart, X bar line shall be at the mid of X ( Individual ) chart. Whereas, MR bar ( Average of Moving Range ) need not be at the Centre of the Chart. This is because of the different formula we apply on both charts!
