• We have agreed Laboratories in Scotland should move to a distributed service model. In this workshop we explored the route to delivery and signposted the governance issues.
• A joined up IT system is an enabler to this. What high level requirements do we have for an IT system?

• Over 50 experts from areas including laboratories, front line clinical services, general management, and medical education
• Shared Services Laboratories programme team

• Workshop outputs relating to governance of the distributed service model will be used to inform the Strategy Paper to be delivered to Chief Executives
• High level IT requirements will drive the next steps for the IT project
