Daie Group of Companies Our Shared Values 1. What is value? Value is what is important to us in our actions or behavior. For example, if you value honesty you would not cheat when dealing with others; if you value your image, you would take care of how you dress or make up. 2. What is shared value? Shared value is what we, as members of Daie Group of Companies, have in common. For example, if all of us think that integrity is very important in carrying out our jobs, than integrity becomes our shared value. 3. Why shared values are important? 1. Values are important to us as an individual, because values determine what we are . Values begin in our minds, then translated into actions and speech. Repeated actions and speech become our habits, repeated habits become our characters; and character determines our destiny –what we are. For example, if you value pride in doing a job, then in words and action you would try to do your job well. Once this is often repeated that doing a job well becomes your habit. This habit after sometimes becomes your character. This character will be noticed and your employability or reputation increases – thus bringing positive impact to your destiny. 2. Shared values are important to the Daie Group of Companies as an organization because they determine the success of the organization.
