Encouraging Everyday Faith—8 Mar

How does God use me in my everyday life? How might God use me in the future? How could I encourage everyday faith in and through my local church? Rev. Vaughan Pollard and the team from St Johns Clayton invite you to an evening to begin imagining ways to equip you and your church to follow Jesus confidently in everyday life. Come and reflect on how your faith can impact every area of your life. Monday 8 Mar, 7.30-9pm https://learning.leeds.anglican.org/course/encouraging-everyday-faith/

World Day of Prayer

The World Day of Prayer (previously known as Women’s WDP) is usually held on the first Friday in March. This year the service has been organised by the Christians in Vanuatu in the Pacific. Because of restrictions with COVID this year things will be different. Locally, it has been decided to postpone the service (indoors or outdoors?) to a Friday in May. Details will be made available asap. In the meantime please remember the people of Vanuatu on the 5 Mar, and check out the website: https://www.wwdp.org.uk/

CAFOD Lent Walk for Water Sally LEEMING, Avis and Emma JONES, Emily and Sam FLETCHER, Fr Andrew and Vicky have all signed up for the 10,000 steps per day for 40 days, to raise funds for projects bringing clean water to communities where there is great need. Donations can be made here:

https://walk.cafod.org.uk/teams/holy-trinity-and-st-wilfrids-bingley

Bingley Community Kitchen Anyone who shops at the Coop and has a membership card can register to have any community monies from the Coop linked to the Community Kitchen Cause. The website link is https://membership.coop.co.uk/causes/49512 and members can register their card against the cause by signing in or by becoming a member. We have raised £653.42 so far.

Bingley Foodbank

Rev Barbara Walls recently sent news from Bingley Foodbank to say that in 2020, they helped 3 times the number of people cf 2018. This comes with a message of thanks for the donations of food or money from members of our Church. The Foodbank is seeing an increasing number of families that have been hit by the financial consequences of the pandemic.

Best wishes to all celebrating a birthday around now,

including: Ben TURNER, Fred LARK (2/3),

Jane GLENDINNING (3/3).
