7 Getstarted

7.1 Chargeyourheadset

Beforeyouuseyourheadsetforthefirsttime,chargethebatteryfor6hoursforoptimumbatterycapacityandlifetime.

WarningUseonlytheoriginalUSBchargingcable.Usinganotherchargermaydamageordestroyyourheadset.PlugtheUSBchargingcableintoyourcomputersUSBsocketandconnectthechargercabletotheheadsetschargingsocket.

CautionFinishyourcallbeforechargingtheheadset,asconnectingtheheadsetforchargingwillcutanongoingcall.

DuringrechargingtheLEDindicatorwillshowaredlight.TheLEDwillturnoffoncechargingiscomplete.Typicallyafullchargewilltakefourhours.Youcanoperatetheheadsetduringcharging.

TipYoucansaveenergyandprotecttheenvironmentbyunpluggingthechargerafterchargingiscomplete.

7.2 Pairyourheadset

YourBluetoothstereoheadsetmustbepairedtoyourBluetoothadapterandmobilephonebeforeconnectingandusingitwiththatdeviceforthefirsttime.“Pairing”willestablishauniqueencryptedlinkbetweenyourheadsetandUSBadapterormobilephone.

Pairinghastobedone• beforeusingyourheadsetwithyourUSB

adapterormobilephonefortheveryfirsttime,or

• “Pairing”isdifferentfrom“connecting”aspairingtypicallyonlyhastobedoneonce,whereasthephoneandheadsetneedto“connect”everytimeoneofthetwodeviceswasturnedofforoutofrange.

7.2.1 PairyourheadsetwithyourPC

TopairyourheadsetwithyourPC,makesuretheheadsetischargedandturnedoffandtheBluetoothmusic/voiceadapterpluggedintoyourPC.

PuttheheadsetinpairingmodebyholdingthebuttonuntiltheLEDstartsblinkingredand

bluealternately.Theheadsetwillremainin“pairingmode”for5minutes.

Press“Pair&Connect”buttonontheBluetoothmusic/voiceadapteruntiltheLEDstartsblinkingredandgreenalternately.

YouwillhearalongbeeptoconfirmsuccessfulpairingandtheheadsetsLEDwillchangefromflashingred/bluetoperiodicallyflashingblueeverythreeseconds.

� Pairingtypicallyinvolvesafewsimplestepsoutlinedbelow,pleasecheckyourphonesuserguidefordetails.

� Accessamenuonyourmobilephonetypicallycalled“Setup”,“Settings”,“Bluetooth”or“Connectivity”.SelecttheoptiontodiscoverorsearchforBluetoothdevices.Afterafewsecondsyourphoneshouldindicatethatithasfoundthe“PhilipsSHB6111”.

4 Uponselectingthe“PhilipsSHB6111”onyourmobilephonetypicallyyouwillneedtoconfirmthepairingandenterapasscode.Pleaseentertheheadsetspasscode“0000”(fourzeros).

Aftersuccessfulpairing,theheadsetwillconnecttothemobilephone.YouwillhearalongbeeptoconfirmsuccessfulpairingandtheheadsetsLEDwillchangefromflashingred/bluetoperiodicallyflashingblueeverythreeseconds.
