Wedding: 09/20/2013: Jaime & Jason Our 4th daughter was just married on September 20, 2013. Of all the weddings I have planned for my children, Rich's Catering was a dream-come-true. Steve was our "go-to" person and I wish I could rate him and Rich's Catering with 10 stars!! The professionalism, the flexibility, the quality of food, the attention to detail...I could go on and on...FAR exceeded our expectations. You don't have to hire a "wedding planner" if you have Steve working with you. He does it all. Our guests are still contacting me raving about the food we had at the reception. The steak could be cut with a fork and absolutely the best steak we've had in a long time, and the chicken was fabulous. We chose cheesecake for dessert and, again, fantastic! Our reception was not a "typical" reception. My daughter had lots of surprises that I was not even aware of, and she dealt directly with Steve to pull them all off. Not an easy task, but he rose to the occasion and it all went without a hitch. If you are planning a wedding...or any event that involves catering...do yourself a favor. Run to your phone and call Rich's Catering and ask for Steve. You'll never regret it and you will have the wedding or event of your dreams. Thank you, Steve and Rich's!!! You made my daughter's dream-come-true. Wedding: 09/28/2013: Rachel & Amy Could not be more pleased with our decision to use Rich's Catering for our big day! The cuisine was gourmet fare. Our guests are still talking about how "wowed" they were with every dish. But Rich's is so much more than just food. They added all the finishing touches for true one-stop shopping. Everything from the chargers on the tables to the pillar and stage draping and lighting was done impeccably. Their attention to detail and eye for the beautiful in combination with The Rapids Theatre's obvious allure and sophistication brought exactly the right feeling of elegance and whimsy. Steve G and his assistant Taylor are your personal day-of coordinators at no additional charge. And they are amazing at what they do! We also appreciated the small touches that meant a lot to us. They made sure that the butlers with the hors d’oeuvres made a point to come to us while we were mingling during cocktail hour, while also making sure we always had our drink of choice in hand during the entire event, even without asking. When my glass was empty, a watchful eye was always seconds away with another glass of my favorite drink. The presentation and elegance of the evening was just enough, without being so much that it felt stuffy and inhibited the guests from having a great time. If I had it to do over, of course I would because it was one of the best days of my life. But I would not change a thing. Rich's Catering and The Rapids Theatre are a match made in wedding heaven. Thank you Steve and everyone else at Rich's Catering. Wedding: 6/28/2014: Joellen & Brandon Truly 5 stars!! Everything was wonderful the night of the wedding as well as all of the planning along the way. Steve and Taylor were there for any question I might have had and treated my entire bridal party like royalty. The food was absolutely wonderful and many guests commented on how great it was. They ensured that the entire evening ran smoothly and acted like my wedding planner all night long. I always knew exactly what to do next. I didn't even have to return to the venue the next day, as the crew had all of my items packed up before I even left. I would recommend them to anyone!! Thanks guys.

Wedding: 7/19/2014 Jillian & Crosby Rich's did an excellent job at our wedding at Shea's. All of the event coordination, decorations, service, and quality and amount of food were perfect. We had no idea they were going to exceed our expectations the way they did. It wasn't just "wedding food". Brandon, our coordinator, went to all of our 25 tables and asked if everything was okay and if they needed anything. The personal attention was excellent, and even the guests at tables on the second level told us their service was quick and helpful. All of the staff was dressed so nicely, with white glove service, and they all did an excellent job making our guests feel special. We are so happy we hired them, and we would hire them again, and recommend them to friends! Wedding: 8/23/2014 Simone & Walter Rich's Catering was by far the best choice we made as far as wedding planning goes. Steve Guagliardi truly runs an impeccable team at Rich's. He was so professional every time we had meetings and he was always completely focused on us and our special day. During the reception he checked in with us 4 plus times to make sure we were happy with how the event was going. I had some special request that Rich's fulfilled with ease and pleasure. They truly were a huge part of what made our day so special. The food was out of this world! All of our guests were raving about the scallops and the filet. My husband wanted to pick up his soup bowl and drink it---I didn't let that one happen even though the soup was THAT good! I will use Rich's catering for any event that I want to be perfect because I know that Steve and his team can accomplish that. Wedding: 12/13/2014 Bethany & Michael I cannot say enough about Rich's. We had our wedding at the Connecticut Street Armory. Rich's provided the delicious and beautiful food and cakes. The cake was outstanding and was moist 8 days later when we continued to eat it throughout the week. The food was impeccable, delicious and warm! Steve was, for all intensive purposes, our wedding planner. He was with us every step of the way and made sure everything went smoothly. We could not have done it without Steve by our side. Rich's provided the decor and ambiance to make a big beautiful military venue into a breathtaking and elegant wedding. It was amazing. Not only were our guests raving about it but we were blown away. General Information
Deposits: Rich’s Catering & Special Events requires a non-refundable $1,000 deposit to secure a date and a non-refundable $1,500 deposit six months prior to event. These deposits will be applied towards your final bill at full value. In the event that the function is cancelled or changed, Rich’s Catering & Special Events reserves the right to retain all deposits and rental fees. Guarantees: A guaranteed number of guests to be served is required by Rich’s Catering & Special Events at least 10 days prior to your function. In the event that no guarantee is received, the expected number of guests as listed on the original contract will be applied. Minimum spending requirements will apply on food, before an 8.75% sales tax and 20% in surcharges are added {surcharge includes 14% gratuity & 6% non-gratuity administrative fee}. Friday: $6,000 Saturday: $6,500 Sunday: $3,000 Monday—Thursday: $2,500 Holidays & Holiday Weekends: minimum spending requirement determined on a per event
basis Security: Rich’s Catering & Special Events cannot assume liability for damage or loss of any items left in any facility, prior to, during or following your wedding, meeting, or banquet. Billing: All functions must be paid for by cash or certified check {credit cards are not accepted for final payment.} Miscellaneous: 8.75% sales tax & 20% in surcharges {surcharge includes 14% gratuity & 6% non-gratuity administrative fee} will be added to all charges. Menu offerings and pricing are subject to change without notice. No food or beverage shall be brought into or removed from the property without the permission of Rich’s Catering & Special Events management. We request that you comply with the contracted time schedule, as there may be a function before or after your event. Anyone consuming alcoholic beverages must be 21 years of age or older. Rich’s reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. Rich’s Catering & Special Events has an 11:00pm curfew for all service. We are happy to provide minimal set-up for your event such as placement of favors, centerpieces, etc. This does not include assembly of items, or what we consider excessive set up {stringing additional lights, theme weddings, etc.} those will be billed a set up charge, minimum of $200. If you have young children 10 and under and special children’s meals are ordered for that purpose, they will be charged a lower package rate. All place cards must be marked with an entrée choice.
