The Natal Forest Tree Frog(Leptopelis natalensis)
The Giant Raffi a Palm is a species found from Kosi Bay in South Africa through to Mozambique. These plants only fl ower twice in their lifespan, once at 20 years and again at 10 years. It is assumed that the only natural propagation is carried out by the rare Palm Nut Vulture that feeds on the fruit and nests in the palms.
Endemic to the easterncoastal area of South Africa. A typical tree frog, it has large eyes anda broad mouth. It’s colouration is highly variable:Some may be bright green, others cream coloured, and some may be cream with olive-green blotches. It’s natural habitats are temperate forests, temperate shrubland, subtropical forests, swamps, intermittent freshwater marshes, and rural gardens.

Common Duiker – Spotted in the forest, primarily browsers rather than grazers, they feed on leaves, shoots, seeds, fruit, buds and bark.
