HERE ARE SOME HINTS TO MAKE IT EASY FOR FAMILIES TO CHOOSE HEALTHY OPTIONS.
You can help by reviewing the new Find Healthy Here signage throughout the pantry. These signs help customers determine which choice is healthy.
If they have more questions, feel free to share the following nutritional information. Also, guide them to the next section of healthy choices.
WIC AND SNAPSome of these healthy options may not always be available at our pantry including low-fat dairy, lean beef and water. As clients are finishing shopping, remind them to keep these helpful tips in mind when they finish their shopping at other stores. Also, remind them to take advantage of Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) vouchers to purchase these items.
Advise clients to call 211 to be connected with these and other food assistance programs.
