Being a HERO means you step up and stand out in a way most people do not.

Supporting children and youth to reach their full potential Creating strong families and neighborhoods Contributing to those less fortunate

Giving is a personal and voluntary choice.

Did you know:

• Fewer than 200 Shell/Motiva donors reached their annual match limit

• The number of $1k donors at other companies exceed ours by 5:1

• Shell/Motiva have fewer UW Tocqueville donors ($10K and above) than other major multinational companies

• Several companies with 1/3 as many employees gave as much as Shell/Motiva

Right now, in terms of employee giving we are being outpaced by our competitors. Our challenge is to rise to the occasion and elevate our leadership role in the community. Last year, you set the bar among your peers as contributors to the HERO program. The time is now for each of us to assert, “I am a HERO” through our generosity.

As you consider your gift for the annual fall enrollment period, we challenge you to go the extra mile by maximizing your available annual match limit. To encourage your efforts, the first 100 Shell/Motiva donors who make a contribution using the online tool will have their match doubled. The double match donors will be notified at the conclusion of the fall enrollment period.

To participate in the double match you must:

• Be a current employee • Use the online tool for payroll deduction, direct bill and/or check payment • Include all organizations to be matched in the original submission

Don’t delay. Step up and stand out as a HERO. Visit the HERO program site at www.easymatch.com/Motiva to make your contribution NOW.

Thank you in advance.

Let’s GO

The HERO program encourages employee giving throughout the year by matching your donation, 1:1 up to $5,500 per employee per calendar year, to your favorite education institution and United Way organizations.
