is increasing by more than 20,000 members every

day. The challenge is not conversion but disciple-

ship. International Christian Ministries and AricaTheological Seminary, are committed to transorm-

change wrought by our students. We are committed

Be cursed and die!

Soon ater joining Arica Theological Seminary (ATS),

Pastor Michael Mgulu became the pastor o a new

church. In two years he grew the church to 1200+attendees. Not content to stay in sae areas he

moved the church to the heart o a Muslim/Animist

community. There he put

up a simple structure that

would seat 5,000!

The local Muslim lead-ers belittled the project

asking, Where will you

get the people to ll such a big space? The local

witch doctor put a curse on Pastor Michael saying

he would die unless he removed the church.

With challenges rom

both groups on his

mind, Pastor Michael

called the congrega-

tion to pray and ast

or 40 days. While the

surrounding communityexpected Michael to die, the congregation inter-

ceded. The church began to grow. An average o 15

people come to the Lord each Sunday. Hal o those

are ormer Muslims!

And the witch doctor? He died! The church is

fourishing, Christians are being discipled and the

community is being changed.

ATS students do not wait until they graduate to

make a dierence. Because they are ull time

leaders and part time

students they can putwhat they learn to im-

mediate use.

Africa Theological Seminary is committed todiscipleship that makes a dierence. The seminary

ocuses training and equipping on those already in

the ministry. Your support goes to Christian lead-ers already actively involved in transorming their

churches and communities. Their training adds skills

and understanding that will help them implement

solutions that solve real problems.
