  • Customized surface treatment with APP Solutions

    Atmospheric pressure plasma (APP) treatment is the key technology for the ultrafine cleaning, surface activation, and plasma coating of almost all materials – plastics, metals, glass, silicon rubber, cardboard, textiles, and composite materials (PPS+55% glass fiber or carbon fiber… etc.). With APP technology, plasma surface treatment can be integrated inline/offline. This makes it possible to use cost-effective starting materials, to combine materials that were previously incompatible, and to implement high-efficiency, environmentally friendly manufacturing processes.

  • What is APPlasma

    In the manufacturing industry, this principle is used for selective modification of material

    characteristics. Treatment with APP energy causes a targeted and exactly adjustable

    increase in the adhesiveness and wettability of surfaces. This makes it possible to use

    completely new (even non-polar) materials and environmentally-friendly, solvent-free

    (VOC-free) paints and adhesives industrially. Today, many chemical surface treatment

    compared to other pre-treatment processes

    High process reliability:APP is distinguished by high fail-safety and process reliability.

    High cost-effectiveness:

    High process speed, even in multi-shift operation, and lower scrap rates guarantee high

    process efficiency. Because it allows for flexible material selection, the APP process

    also facilitates the use of more advantageous materials.

    High degree of activation:Unlike corona treatment, APP permits a high degree of activation of the surfaces to be

    treated.

    APP permits a large process window: The danger of thermal component damage is

    extremely low in comparison to flaming.

    blasting, APP can easily be integrated inline in existing processes.

    supported pickling and chrome plating, wet chemistry is not required.

    health damaging bonding agents and primers unnecessary. The significant improvement

    in adhesion enables the use of alternative, often water-based VOC-free paint and
