Sakurai Sensei has been part of the JKA shihan-kai masters association for

many years. 6 time Japan National Masters Kata Champion, Chief

instructor and examiner of Tokai area Japan, technical advisor to JKA-SKD Canada, chief instructor for JKA-BC

for over 25 years, head coach of several Canadian National teams and several Provincial teams from 1980s to early 2000’s. He has had many of his Japanese students and several of his

Canadian pupils compete and succeed at National and World level. He has become one of the most sought-after instructors of Karate in the World.
