Provide a description of efforts to reduce homelessness: Tampa Hillsborough Homeless Initative and Hillsborough County Homeless Services partner with several local homeless services providers throughout the county to provide the necessary housing and supportive services to homeless individuals and families in regards to emergency and transitional housing needs. According to section mA-30 Homeless Facilities and Services section of the Market Analysis, there are currently 798 emergency shelter beds, 629 transitional housing beds, and 2,572 permanent supportive housing beds provided by local homeless services provider organizations. Hillsborough County Affordable Housing Services, in partnership with THHI and Hillsborough County Homeless Services, anticipates to allocate federal funding and strengthen coordination with local service provides to continue efforts to increase the number of emergency and transitional housing beds and supportive services to meet the needs of individuals and families facing homelessness.
