He also completed an Advanced Project Management course at Damelin and has an incomplete B.Sc Pharmacy degree fromUniversity of Kwa-Zulu Natal. Having spent the last ten years in the private hospital healthcare industry, he has been devoted toproviding specialist hospital management services and focused management training within the private hospital and healthcareindustry. His consulting focus has been on productivity, performance and profit improvement which embraced strategic planning,process re-engineering, organization structuring, management training and assisting in the implementation of recommended changes.Mr Poorun has also spent some time in studying hospital management processes and systems, particularly with the emphasis onproductivity, cost and profit performance within a Managed Care and strong cost driven environment. Mr Poorun is also currentlyworking with Nelson Mandela School of Medicine, public health to role out a hospital management course. Mr Poorun speaks, readsand writes in English, Afrikaans and Zulu.
