Short-Term Opportunity with Long-Term Impact 1-week A2•MK children’s ministry team in Japan

Interested in working with cool missionary kids in Japan? Asian Access, a mission agency dedicated to developing leaders and planting churches across Japan, holds an annual mission‐wide retreat in the beautiful, snowy mountains of Nagano in March and church planter’s conference in October. The purposes of these retreats are to equip and refresh missionaries who serve alongside Japanese congregations and help to plant new churches. Each conference, we have a need for a team of 6‐10 people who share a passion to invest in the children in the mission so that they can shine Christ in this dark country. Ideally teams will be from one church in North America. In past years, children’s ministry teams have run a program much like a Vacation Bible School ministry. This is a unique opportunity for anyone who loves kids and would like the chance to serve (in English!) in Japan. You would also have some great interaction with missionaries from all over the country! The ministry dates are about 5 days in either March or October, but there is also the potential to participate in ministry elsewhere in Japan around the conference dates, if desired. Sample Schedule Day 1 Fly to Tokyo! Day 2 Arrive at Narita Int’l Airport;

spend first night at airport hotel

Day 3 Bullet train to Karuizawa; check into Megumi Chalet; set up for children’s program.

Day 4 Spring Retreat begins; evening program with kids

Days 5-7 Three slots of kids’ program (am, pm, evening)

Day 8 Wrap-up program; conference ends with lunch; bullet train to Tokyo & sight-seeing, overnight in hotel

Day 9 Fly home! Ages of Children 8-12 Toddlers ~ Preschoolers 8-12 Elementary students 8-12 Teenagers Cost Cost = round-trip flight to Tokyo
