Should A Talent of Singing Delayed Because of Young

Age?

Every single parent in this world wants their child to be success.

Whether it's on science, painting, dancing, literature, music, or maybe singing.

And now, many kinds of talent-searching-show on television are actively

seeking for everyone's inborn ability that God already gave them. And the

most infamous talent is: singing. Its realization comes to a show called children

singing contest. However, there are still many people who believe thatchildren are just children. So they should do what children do, in this case:

studying. They dont let their kids to join such a nuisance children singing

contest which will bother their study, even their kids have angel voices. I

simply put myself across their opinion. The following paragraphs are my

reasons.

Firstly, children singing contest can build, what we call, self-confident.

Because every week, each contestants must show their ability on singing. It's

proved by the contestants performances; they could manage their selves on

the stage. Even the judges sometimes praise their performances. It shows that

the child self-confident will increase along with their number of performances.

Secondly, Children Singing Contest can be used for developing skill and

talent of the children. Because before performing every week, each of the

contestants has a compulsory to practice and rehearse their performances that

will be showed that day. This obligation will absolutely make children

acquaintances with singing and performing it in front others increase swiftly.

And this should make Children Singing Contest a great chance

Thirdly, if there are many people assume that Children Singing Contest

is inappropriate because the contestants will sing some adult songs about love

and infidelity, they are all wrong. Because nowadays, Children Singing Contest

in Indonesia have some requirements of song that could be sung by the

contestants, one of them that the song should have 'love for the nature,

parents, or God' theme. If you still had found some songs that have a non-

allowed theme, the contestants should have changed the lyric or something

else that would appease the committee requirements.

And last but not least, some people say that a show like children singing

contest will simply make the contestant study become fallow. But nowadays, a

children singing contest is searching for a 'true idol'. The committee won't

allow the show disturbing the contestants school program. They have

managed the time of performance is every weekend, so in the 'ordinary day'

(Monday to Friday), the contestants can simply study for their education.

From my explanation above, I suggest that Children Singing Contest is a

great program to build children personalities and to develop their skills and

talents in singing. People shouldn't say that it is inappropriate, because actually

the committee have done the best for the good of contestants.
