The second edition of Beautyworld India continued to set standards with style andsubstance. Both exhibitors and visitors were highly appreciative of the organization of theevent. No expense was spared to provide a lush and luxury setting for an industry that is allabout beauty. The Indian media was highly appreciative of Beautyworld India, covering itsmany workshops, exhibitors and a wide range of products most favourably in the dailynewspapers and many on-line portals.

While the exhibitors from 13 countries formed a valuable basis for a professional show, the 16workshops conducted by high profile personalities from the cosmetic sector formed the coreof the fair and attracted the attention of the media and visitors alike.

India's retail market is currently valued at US$ 511billion, and is poised to grow to US$ 833 billion by2013. Organised retail that currently accounts forless than 5 per cent of the total retail market isexpected to register a compound annual growthrate of 40 per cent and swell to US$ 107 billionby 2013. It is further expected to reach US $ 1.3trillion by the year 2018 at a CAGR of 10%.

OPTIMISTIC SPIRITResults of a recent Neilson Global Consumerconfidence survey show that, "Confidence hasincreased and has been the most promising inIndia, Hongkong, China, Singapore and Brazil,resulting in a rapid change of consumer spendingpatterns.
