TheconstructionofthisRVhasbeencapturedbyaTVteamandbroadcastonTravelChannel’s“ExtremeRVs”series.However,atthetimeofthefinalshooting,thecoachwas not quite finished. The paint jobwas still pending aswell as details like thedinette, dining/coffee table and chairs. This way, we couldachieveafueleconomyof6mpgevenwhenfullyloaded.

The Coach Environmental/Energy Savings/Health Aspects Many of the componentsutilized in themanufacturing process of this coach havebeen exclusively sourced for this build. Here is a compilation of the “green”features:
• Allconstructionplywood(likeinthesubfloor)isNAUF(noaddedureaformaldehyde)andcabinetplywoodisCARBcertified(nearzeroformaldehyde).
• InthetypicalAmericancamper,luanpanelsareusedaswallpanels.MostofthemareproducedinAsiausinggluescontainingformaldehyde.Notonlyarethesepanelspronetoswellingandmoldwhentheygetwet,theyalsooutgas,releasingcarcinogens.Notsointhiscoach:AlldecorativewallpanelsareAzdelCompositePanelsmadeintheUSA,constructedusingablendofpolypropyleneandfiberglass,50%lighterthanwood,3xtheinsulationofwood,impervioustowaterandformaldehyde-free.
• AlladhesivesandfinishesarelowVOC.• A/Cconsistsof4compressors,butonlyasmanycompressorsareactually
runningatanygiventimeasneededtoachievethedesiredtemperature.Thisallowsthesystemtorunonaslowasaquarterpowerifthecoolingneedislower.
