Dear School Musical Parents,
The School Musical’s production of Shrek the Musical, Jr. will be upon us soon! The children have been working hard learning lines, blocking, and choreography. Now it is time to put together the finishing pieces. Costumes are required for each student. We have tried to make this as simple as possible for all performers and their parents.
It is highly suggested that every performer wear some time of “base layer” of clothing. This could be black or white pants/shorts and a black/white tank top. This will allow for swift costume changes throughout the production.
Everyone will be required to have a pair of black pants, yoga pants or leggings with no writing or designs on them, a pair of plain sneakers and whatever you need for your specific numbers you are in. If you have black jazz shoes, please wear those instead of sneakers.
All leads are responsible for providing their own costume. Many of these costumes can be purchased at Party City, Walmart, Target or even Amazon! Please start looking for them now as our first dress rehearsal is going to be in early March!
It is hot on the stage so please dress in light clothing.
