REPORT ON FINISHING SCHOOL TRAINING

VISION:

To bridge the gap between education and industrial

expectation in the global competitive world by

providing skills to the students and raising the

capability of our students, so as to achieve gainful

employment through concerted academic & corporate

interface.

OBJECTIVE:

The college and university curriculum provides theoretical knowledge and

partially about practical scenario. Practical knowledge enhancement can be

done by such Academic – Corporate Interface which is immediate requirement

of industry in current era.

Finishing school provides training on such practical aspects and knowledge to

the students to compete in this world of globalization and facilitate development

of the skills among the students to stand independently in the competitive world

of commerce and industries

Training was conducted at SHRI K.K. SHASTRI GOVERNMENT

COMMERCE COLLEGE, AHMEDABAD for T.Y. B.com students under

‘Finishing School’ Phase –I during 22nd

March 2017 to 31st March, 2017 for

40 hours and Phase-II during 19th April, 2017 to 22

nd April 2017 for 10 hours.

There were two trainers viz. Mr. Ershad Ali Saiyad & Mr. Gaurav Thakkar

for two batches, 25 students in each batch.

The training timing was 8.00am to 12.00pm. The Phase-I and Phase-II

training of 50 hours for both the batches was effectively completed by the

trainers. This innovative teaching and learning process was well appreciated by

the students. Trainers delivered the lectures in very effective and efficient

manner.

STUDENTS AND TRAINER’S INTERACTION UNDER FINISHING SCHOOL

We Organized Valedictory function followed by refreshment on the last day of

training. We received students positive & encouraging feedback. This project

provides over all development among themselves.

Valedictory Function

We are thankful to the Government of Gujarat and KCG for selecting our

college under ‘Finishing School’. It’s not only improves the skills among the

students but also enhances their skills to compete the real world. All the

students provided their feedbacks which are attached herewith. The feedback

shares that students are very happy with the initiative by Government of

Gujarat, as it enhances the efficiency of the student for practical training and

knowledge.

The job placement Camp was organized in the college during 26th April,

2017 to 29th April, 2017. The students of the Finishing School has been

participated in the job placement camp. The following students have been
