Kalol is situated on the northern region of Gujarat State, It is in between
the Kalol and Chhatral G.I.D.C. The people of Kalol are employed in various
sectors of central, state, municipal, corporate, industry and agriculture sector. It
has an overall population of nearly 1,80,000 one lakh eighty thousand.(Approx)
From academic point of view, it has different schools and colleges. Amongst
all The Shri P.H.G. Muni Arts & Science College Kalol (N.G) is the only institution
catering liberal education in Arts as well as in pure Sciences. The College has its
own vision and mission. Our mission is to be the centre of rural upliftment with
education & literacy. Development of moral awareness. To build up a strong
nation.
The mission is set to develop human resources, at par with the modern
technological challenges and to train the students accordingly leading to
sustainable national development.
Under the supervision of able secretary Shri Prafulbhai Talsania and other
honorable members of the trust, the college has tried to fulfill various,
recommendations suggested by NAAC committee in March 2008.
Our college has striven hard to create excellence in academics, co-
curricular activities’ socio cultural functions, extension activities and sports. The
college has also taken an initiative for the development of English proficiency,
career counseling and job placement.

Based on recommendations of NAAC Committee, the plan of action was
chalked out by the I.Q.A.C in the beginning of the year 2008-09.
1. To make active efforts to implement the recommendations given by the
peer team.
2. To organize 15 day workshop under the banner of knowledge management
programme for faculty members.

Ans.1.In Microbiology Subject objective questions were included i,e, answer
in one or two lines,or sentences, of 12 marks per theory papers of 70 marks
16 (80%) weightage introduced at S.Y.B.sc (paper 3,4,5) and T.Y.Bsc (paper 6 to 9)
in internal as well as external exams.

seminar at Smt S. M. Panchal Science College Talod.

Other Programmes.
-Nearly 1000 students took out a massive rally .The principal of the college,
all the staff members worked hard to make it a grand success. The
students spread the message of “Healthy Child “ & “Save the girl child “ to
the people of the Kalol Town.
- 1st December being the WORLD AIDS DAY, the college arranged for a rally
in the campus. The principal Dr.K.C.Desmukh, delivered a thoughtful
lecture to the students gathered at the rally.He informed the students the
reasons and causes of the AIDS.
-Tree Plantation held in Arts & Science College, Kalol.100 trees planted in
the campus with the help of the students of the Eco club.9th August,2008.

-The CWDC Co-ordination Prof.Kalaben D.Patel and Joint Co-ordinator,
Prof. Rosamma M.Joseph organized a meeting for the FYBA female
students.The objective was to make them familiar with the functions of
CWDC.Both gave speech enlightening the students about their rights.They
informed the girls about the supreme Court ruling making CWDC
compulsory in all the institutes.This cell imparts services like Counselling
by Prof.J.D.Gajjar,grievence redresal cell & listening to their complain and
finding solutions to it.
- Under the banner BAOU several courses are run in the college Like,

external employees take maximum benefit of said courses.

report has been prepared on basis of the analysis of the feedback and necessary
remedial actions have been taken.

additional test is also kept.The dates for results of the internal tests are declared
during examination. The final Exam is conducted by the university. The Results
and the Certificates are given by the university.

Ans.1.o Administration office has been renovated to case administration
and work with students.
2.A new compound wall has been built up to avoid entry of unwanted &
unauthentic persons in the college.
3. Laboratory charts, poster,other requirements of psychology lab has
been fulfilled.

Ans. English digital lab has been established.
-Purchased LCD Projector, Handy cam camera etc.

Ans. More than 100 college students have successfully under taken ccc+
course from BAOU run in college.
-Five faculty members appeared for ccc+ exam.

Ans. For SC/ST/OBC, Physically handicapped students. Scholarship has
been given by Government. It is directly deposited in their bank accounts.
Q.30 Support from the Alumini Association and its activities:
Ans.Shri Bansibhai Soni- gifted English literature books. Worth more than 1 lakh
rupees.
Prof-K. C. Barot (History)has assured to donate a trophy and cash prize
to college student standing first in History subject.
Q.31 Support from the parents- teacher Association and its activities:
Ans.It is planned to call the parents to show the results as well as answer
book of their Pupil.This was done particularly by the English department.Parents
suggestion and adwise was appreciated.
Shri Bansibhai soni- Gifted english literature books.It cost more than 1 lakh
rupees
Q.32 Health services :
Ans.1.Blood donation: keeping in mind the sufferings of the victims of the
Saturday (OfTerrorist Attack) blasts, a Blood Donation camp was held in the
college. Many students took part in the donation with great zeal. All were filled
with a sense of charity. They wanted to heal the wounds of victims by this small
24 gesture. “Service to man is service to God” was the message spread in the
Campus. The programme was arranged with the help of Indian Red Cross
Society, Ahmedabad. Principal Dr.K.C.Deshmukh encouraged the students to
donate blood. Many Girls also enjoyed donate blood.
We plan to prepare a directory of students who can donate blood in emergency.
2.Dr.Shailesh Dave- Orthopadic and Dr. Manisha Shah give their services to our
students when required.

Ans. Encouragement to outstanding sport persons by providing track
suits. Extra coaching in English subject was provided by Mr.Macwan.
No Re-test fee is charged for students who represent college during exam time.
Q.35 Student achievements and awards :
B Mr.H.L.Joshi—Apart from performimng the regular duty of teaching ,he has been the
incharge & convenor of Youth Festival Activities in the college for the last one decade.
The students of the college have been doing extremely well at various events like theatre
events, music events, literary events & fine artsevents and have won prizes at the
University zonal level as well as the Inter zonal levels.
This year miss Jinal Brahmbhat, a second year student got among the best three at the
Uni. Zonal level in the poetry recitation event and eventually was honoured with the third
prize at the Inter Zonal level.
Jinal S.Brahmbhatt , was also adjudged among the best three winners at the Zonal
26 level in the Eloqution competition.
Miss Ankita Gupta of second year B.A. & Mr. Bhavesh Chauhan of F.Y.B.Sc. paired
together in the debate competition at the zonal level and stood among the best three
teams.
The students did extremely well in the events like mono acting, group song, solo song,
and various fine arts events. They were warmly appreciated by thew judges as well as the
audiences.All the students were trained by Prof.H.L.Joshi.
He also renders his services as a resource person of theatre events like poetry
recitation, mono acting, skit, and mimicry at the St.xaviers College, Ahmedabad. He also
renders services as a judge at University Yuth Festival: This year he judged all theatrical
events at the Yuoth Festival of Norht Gujarat University, besides serving as a faculty of
theatre & public speaking training Institute,Ahmedabad.
-129 Students from Psychology Department actively Participated
inSeminar,Psychological aspects of terrorism organized by Kanoriya Hospital at
Gandhinagar.
-14 students participated in International seminar on Mentally retarded
Children.Amongst them three students read research paper.
-100 students participated in exam organized by Gayatri Shaktipith (Spiritual
organization) of Gandhinagar. Prof.D.A.Thaker took active interest in oraganising
this exam.Passed students were given the certificate.
- Total 70 NCC cadets took CATC traning.

1. Students of T.Y.B.sc. and one student of S.Y.B.Sc. participated in 19th state
level competition jointely organized by GSBTM,Govt of Gujarat & Microstudy
27 circle ,J &J college Nadiad.
2. Three students took industrial training at IFFCO.
3. Ten students of T.Y.Bsc participated in GUJCOST sponsored state level
conference on current trends in Drug discovery and its application organized by
M.N. science college Patan,seven students presented poster and Three students
participated as delegates.
4.Two students of T.Y.Bsc presented paper at science excellance-2009 held by
Guj Uni. And Guj cost.
5.Visit to Hindustan Zinc and Pesticide India,Udaipur,Rajasthan by Microbiology
and Chemistry students along with Prof-Dr M.R.Mehta
Dr.R.P.Patwa and Dr Nooper Goyal.
F.Y. B.Sc and S. Y. B. Sc Students also visited Forensic Laboratory
Of Gujarat Government situated at Gandhinagar.
6. S.Y.Bsc Microbiology student stood 2nd in college general knowledge
examination in science section.

Ans. : Prof. J. D. Gajjar lecturer in Psychology heads the committee of guidance
and counseling cell. She gave guidance and counseling girls throughout the year.

reprographic facilities to the students and staff.no open access system.

1.CWDC exists in the college,Women Development cell (committee).It has
performed various functions.
2.The Placement Cell has been established in the college.
3.Students are given the proper counseling in the beginning of the first Term
regarding the vision and Mission of the Trust and college,various subjects offered
,various activities,examination procedure ,use of Library and computer facilities
,rules and regulations of the college.
4.The library has added three new journals named “Gujarat journal of
psychology” , “Journal of science education”,“Current science, A National Journal
of ELT.
5. KMPF (Knowledge Management Programme For Faculty Members) was
organized in the college. Such training will be carried out next year.
6.The Reseach Cell is yet to be established. The proposal for UGC resource
network system has been placed before UGC.
7.The programmes and activities of our Institution have been conducted in an
appropriate way to enhance the quality by the participation of the staff and the
students. Along with other facilities like Internet and computer ,our library has
been enriched with reference books.Our management is positively thinking for
32 the prospective plan of additional facilities and programmes.
8. Newly Implemented : New minor research projects is planned to be applied by
J.G.Parikh in Arts Faculty. One Interdesciplinary Project by Dr. M.R. Mehta and
N.R.goyal is planned for proposal in Science Faculty.
9. College has started several IT & Non IT courses along with Gujarat Knowledge
society. At present 20 students have been registered.
Under the banner BAOU several courses are run in the college Like,
CCC ,CCC+ ,CCCD ,BPP ,BA , B.Com ,M.A ,CTE,CIC.
10.The Institution does not conduct development programmes for non-teaching
staff.It need arises,they are motivated to acquire special skills like computer
operatins etc.They have absolute freecom to use computers,internet,audio-visual
aids and computer aided packages during their free leisure time.
11.College started Digital English Language Laboratary in the college with 25
Computers.
12.computers.college has also purchased five new computers for every
Department.
13. Shri Bansibhai Soni- gifted English literature books. Worth 1 lakh
rupees.Prof-K. C. Barot (History)has assured for donating a trophy and cash prize
to college student standing first in History subject
