PARENT - TEACHER MEETING

PARENT - TEACHER MEETING Shri R.L.T. College of Science has organized a Parent-teacher meeting on

Saturday, 13th Sept. 2014 in college auditorium hall at 3.30 pm. The main purpose of meet was to create a common platform, where teacher and parents come together to enrich the student’s educational experiences and discuss variety of issues, regarding all round development of students.

The meeting was organized under guidance and presidentship of Principal Dr. Vijay Nanoty. Teachers and parents of senior college students attended the meet.

The agenda of the meeting:

Welcome and introduction of teachers and parents. Formation of Parent Teacher Association (PTA). Distribution of college uniform among needy students and felicitation of

merit students. Appeal to build up fund for PTA activities. To provide information about various student oriented activities and

schemes run by college. Suggestion from parents. Any subject with permission of chair.

Minutes of the meeting:

Parent teacher meeting was started with goddess Saraswati poojan. Welcome address and introductory speech was proposed by Dr. Archana Amaley, coordinator of Parent Teacher Association, she explained how PTA can offer the best possible learning environment for the students. Then all faculty members were introduced to parents. A committee of eight members was formed unanimously to establish PTA as under -

College uniforms were distributed by PTA among promising and needy students. A gold medalist merit student Miss. Roshani Mulani was felicited by offering a book on “SPECTROSCOPY”, certificate and bouquet.

Prof. U.K. Bhalekar briefed the gathering by giving general information about the institute and student oriented activities of college. Dr. S.M. Padhye offers warm wishes to PTA and gave idea about various UGC schemes for benefit of students. Dr. P.P. Deohate , coordinator of remedial coaching classes, talked about the scheme and appealed parents to encourage their wards for taking advantage of remedial coaching classes for improvement of their academic performance. Prof. P.M. Khadse, coordinator of student’s teacher guardian scheme of college told about the planning and working of committee and its benefits for students.

Following the speeches of staff members, parents were requested to express their intent and for interactive suggestions. Parent representative Dr. Vandana Mishra appreciated the working of college. Mr. Suresh Mulani stated that “RLT College is a home away from our home”. Adov. Ajit Deshmukh expressed satisfaction over student’s achievement in curricular, extracurricular and sports activities. He also suggested that kindly be strict in regularity of students. Parent Mr. Bharumal Mulani declared donation of Rs.11,000/- for PTA.

Dr. V.D. Nanoty, in this presidential speech, gave idea about various facilities like girl’s hostel, NRC center, library and reading room etc. He appealed parents to actively participate in various academic, extension and social events organized by a college.

The parent teacher meet was anchored by Prof. Vaishali Badgujar. Prof.R.G. Chavan expressed vote of thanks.

After meeting, parents were offered a cup of tea and one to one interaction with staff member over different student oriented issues.

All teaching and non teaching staff, university representative Mr. Mohinder Arora and students worked hard for the success of the meet.
