“Corporate Wellness Program”
More and more companies are conducting corporate wellnessprograms.Employee wellness programs can help curb this absenteeism and boostyour bottom line. Studies conducted by ICRIER and Capital Lineestimate that preventative health care costs a companyapproximately 0.28% of its total income every year. On the other hand, lifestyle diseases can end up costing a company approximately 3.83%of its total income. Hence, investing in employee wellness is aninvestment in the company itself.

PROPOSED PROJECT
CT SCAN EQUIPMENT
CT SCAN
A computerized tomography scan (CT or CAT scan)
uses computers and rotating X-ray machines to
create cross-sectional images of the body. These
images provide more detailed information than
normal X-ray images. They can show the soft tissues,
blood vessels, and bones in various parts of the body
Diagnostic imaging is incredibly valuable in diagnosis because it allows doctors
to internally examine the affected area of your body. Of course, there are many
different types of diagnostic imaging exams, but one of the most common and
effective diagnostic imaging procedures are CT scans.
CT Scan use x-ray beams to provide doctors with images of inside the patient’s
body. The patient lays down while an arc sends thousands of x-ray beams
through the body, collecting them on the other end of the arc in order to
compare the strength between the beams. By doing this, the doctor can gather
a very detailed image of inside the body.
At the end of the day, there are endless reasons why you need a CT Scan.
However, knowing some situations that typically require a CT scan can help
someone understand when doctors might need to use CT scans to examine
patients and their injuries. Since CT scans can give doctors clear images of
bones, soft tissues, muscles, organs, large blood vessels, the brain, and nerves, CT
scans are a diverse and useful tool in a number of diagnostic situations.
Benefits Benefits of CT include more effective medical management by:
• determining when surgeries are necessary
• reducing the need for exploratory surgeries
• improving cancer diagnosis and treatment
• reducing the length of hospitalizations
• guiding treatment of common conditions such as injury, cardiac disease and stroke
• improving patient placement into appropriate areas of care, such as intensive care units
In an emergency room, patients can be scanned quickly so doctors can rapidly assess
their condition. Emergency surgery might be necessary to stop internal bleeding. CT
images show the surgeons exactly where to operate. Without this information, the
success of surgery is greatly compromised. The risk of radiation exposure from CT is
very small compared with the benefit of a well-planned surgery.
CT scanning provides medical information that is different from
other imaging examinations, such as ultrasound, MRI, SPECT,
PET or nuclear medicine. Each imaging technique has
advantages and limitations. The principal advantages of CT
are its abilities to:
Rapidly acquire images.
Provide clear and specific information.
Image a small portion or all the body during the same
examination.
No other imaging procedure combines these advantages into
a single session.
What’s the Need? The two big challenges that are adversely affecting health care in India are inadequate facilities and lack of access. As most diseases are preventable, one can imagine the larger impact of timely, better health care facility to society and economy. Nearly 10 million people can enter the mainstream of life resulting in adding many more millions to the labour market, as even care givers now can concentrate their full energies in economic activity. By curing and preventing major diseases, India can dramatically improve its productivity and reduce the overall burden of healthcare on families as well as economy at large.
Demography of Bharuch: For following reasons the problem is more intricate and bigger for the catchment area of Bharuch which includes -
Midway to Vadodara and Surat cities.
On western side up to Dahej & Hansot Areas.
On eastern side whole tribal belt including adjoining areas of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh
People in this catchment have large section of tribal, illiterate and deprived population. Hence load of pending cataract and other illnesses are more than average in this part of Gujarat state.
The objective of the proposed project by Rotary Club of Bharuch is to equip and
modernize the Bharuch SPD Rotary Diagnostic Centre with CT Scan to provide
good modernised diagnostic facilities to the economically challenged
population at very subsidized rates.
LET US SERVE TOGETHER
We propose for partnering with your esteemed company for
a Global Grants project for CT Scan Machine with your
financial support. Presently, CT Scan facility is available at
private diagnostic centres at high rates starting from Rs. 4500/-
onwards in Bharuch District.
Since there is no availability of such a facility at subsidised
rates, the major population of economically challenged
strata of society are left with no option but such high costs.
We intend to provide at subsidised affordable rates along
with good quality reports.
The total proposed Project cost is estimated of 1.4 Crores.
We intend to work together with Timken Foundation for this
meaningful projects. Hereby, we request you to kindly donate
generously.
Sustainability The CT Scan unit will be operated by qualified Doctors, technicians
and supported by trained nurses and shall operate six days a week. We have also planned for the capacity building training at the SPD Rotary Diagnostic Centre. It would be responsible for the day to day running of this unit and adhering to the laws and regulations of the government. The project will be self-sufficient as Centre will be maintaining the equipment’s and running the project from their own operational funds and will charge minimal amount from the beneficiaries after the project the grant funds has been expended.
Results of the community need assessments have prioritized such advanced diagnosis at subsidized rates. The Centre has committed to benefit the community with such advanced CT Scan Diagnosis at subsidized rates. This project shall be verified for its success and ability to meet the specified objectives at the end of every year.
Lets Together Commit A Better Healthy Future For the
Needy
