V & S Market ing and Design is my gi r l f r iends f reelance designand market ing solut ion company. I t stands for Vitkin andSimmons (our last names, even though I m not real ly involved).I chose blue and red to create contrast and symbol ize the 2dif ferent asp ects (mar ket ing and d esign) of t he company. Thisis also the inspi rat ion for the staggered look of the logotype.

She provides two di f ferent services that are somewhat simi lar,but unique in thei r own r ight . I chose to use images of AnnArbor for the main headers because that is where she is basedout of , and where most c l ients are f rom as wel l .

I chose Helvet ica because of i t s modern look, versat i l i ty, andreadabi l i ty. With Helvet ica you can use dif ferent styles of thesame font ( I used condensed, regular, and l ight) and each hasa very di f ferent feel. The web fonts are set to helvet ica andgaramond respect ively, but wi l l default to ser i f , and sans-seri fi f those are not avai lable.
