Future – Course of Action SIAM awaiting revised notification

Detail Administrative procedure will be discussed with Government of India

Administrative Procedure likely to include ◦ CAFC Reporting procedure and timelines◦ Flexibilities ◦ Consequences of non-compliance

SIAM will be pushing for following flexibilities in future ◦ Pooling◦ Credit Carry forward and Debit Carry back ◦ Off cycle credits ◦ Super-Credits

7

SIAM Proposal : Consequences of Non-Compliance

• In case manufacturer does not comply with the requirements, the manufacturer may choose one or combinations of more than one options –

1. The manufacturer may adjust the CO2 debits with the CO2 credits earned by the manufacturer in last three / five reporting periods.

2. The manufacturer may re-establish compliance by obtaining new type approval report(s) for any of his models (s) / variant (s).

3. Purchase of credits from other manufacture

4. The manufacturer may pay applicable excess emission premium – Details yet worked out.

Labeling Program – discussions started

Label to Cover - Fuel consumption of a passenger cars (in km/l),- Relative efficiency of the passenger cars amongst vehicles in

the same kerb weight range - Star Rating

Committee to deliberate

- Scheme - Gasoline Equivalent Fuel Consumption / Fuel Specific Fuel

Consumption - Type approval , COP / Check Testing requirements - Governing Equation for Star Rating
