SIEGE OF AUGUSTA XXIII 17 - 19 January 2014 at The Doubletree By Hilton, Augusta, GA Presented by HMGS MIDSOUTH By Mid-Afternoon Friday Crowds and Games were Building Up Bigger and Better Than Ever! Convention After Action Review by Pat Condray The 23 rd Anniversary of SIEGE OF AUGUSTA got off to a lively start. However, there were some minor problems-notably space. Not all dealers who had signed were able to attend, but all tables were taken. Tournaments included DBA, HOTT (Hordes of the Things-Fantasy DBA), WARMACHINE/HORDES, SAGA, DUST WARFARE, WARRIOR, HIGH COMMAND KINGMAKER, MAGIC THE GATHERING and of course FLAMES OF WAR. GUNS OF AUGUST (WWI) was the theme. Of course, SOA wasn’t in August, but you can’t have everything. However, WWI was represented. Not only were there WWI Naval epics using Fletcher Pratt’s classic Naval Wargame Rules but several land games. Never heard of Fletcher Pratt? I haven’t played it since the 60s-big ships and big patches of floor. And I should mention that the hotel staff were extremely polite and helpful. The final count on attendance was 305, a new record we hope won’t last.

The 23rd

Anniversary of SIEGE OF AUGUSTA got off to a lively start. However, there were some minor

problems-notably space. Not all dealers who had signed were able to attend, but all tables were taken.

Tournaments included DBA, HOTT (Hordes of the Things-Fantasy DBA), WARMACHINE/HORDES, SAGA,

DUST WARFARE, WARRIOR, HIGH COMMAND KINGMAKER, MAGIC THE GATHERING and of
