1. Extemally vacwm dusl lrom 8ssembly. 2. Check ALL eleclrical conneclions, lncluding ground oonnections, for tlghlness.

3. Visuany inspect ALL dose chamber leads IOf damall&'exposed wires, etc.

2.7 H Lower Oeflning Head (HPC Jaws)

1. Remove defining head covor, 2. Vacuum dos! 110m jaw 115Semb/y. 3. VisuaRy Inspectell bearings end tracks lor excessiva wear anG'or corro~on. 4. AppIy I lhin coai 01 versl\ube to lhe Jaw $halt assemblles. 5. Placa I drop cIolh on lhe f100r neX1 to lhe heed.

6. Using lilting lixlure,li tt lhe Iower dafining head.

7. Suspend lhe jaw assembly over thc drop cloth. 8. Using LPS-l . elaan main coIlimatof rotation bearing. 9. Once eKcess lubrication has drained. Iower lhe jam onto lhe drop cloth.

2.8 H Lowe' Oefining Head (Standard Jaws)

1. Remove definir1g head cover. 2 . Vacuum dust from jaw assembly. 3. Clean ALL metal fdings from ali areas 01 lhe jaw assernbfy. 4 . Visual1y inspeet ali bearings and tracks for eKceSSive wear and'or corroslon. 5. ApplyathincoatoflPS-l tothejawshaftassembfles.

6. PLace a drop cIolh on lhe noor next to lhe head. 7. Using ~fting fixture. lift Iower dêlinlng head.

8. Suspend lhe jaw 8ssembly over lhe drop clOIh. 9. Using LPS·1, clean maln coIfimatOf retalion bearing.

10. Once excesslublication has drained. Iower the jaws onto lhe drop cloth.
