The Bhadra meets the Tunga River at Koodli, a small town near Shivamogga. The

combined river continues east as the Tungabhadra., a major tributary of the Krishna,

which empties into the Bay Of Bengal .



'Kalhatti Falls' is one of the famous

waterfalls in Kemmannugundi. This

place proves a great combination of

history, religion, nature and

adventure. The temple near the falls is

associated with the Cholas, the

Hoysalas, the Marathas, the

Vijayanagar Kings and the Wodeyar

Kings. There are various carvings on

the rocks surrounding the falls and on

either sides of the temple entrance.



Kemmanagundi was the chosen summer

retreat of Maharajah Krishnaraja

Wodeyar VI and hence it is still known as

K.R.Hills. The place with its beautiful

lush green hills, shola forests, waterfalls

and meadows is really a royal getaway.



Mullayanagiri is the tallest mountain in Karnataka .
