PICCADILLY CIRCUS Piccadilly Circus is a busy square in the heart
of London. The Circus lies at the intersection of five
main roads.
HISTORY
It was created by John Nash. It was part of the future plan to connect
Carlton House with Regent's Park.
BILLBOARDS
For some time the plaza was surrounded by billboards.
Currently only one building still carries large displays.
SHAFTESBURY MEMORIAL FOUNTAIN
At the center of the Circus stands the Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain.
It was built in 1893 in memory of Lord Shaftesbury, known for his support of the poor.
WEMBLEY STADIUM Wembley Stadium is the second largest
stadium in Europe.
HISTORY
Wembley Stadium replaced the old stadium with the same name that had stood in its place since 1923.
The old Wembley Stadium got demolished in 2003.
The current stadium officially opened on the 19th of May 2007.

Tickets to the shows are £329 - £439. Wembley Stadium offers guided behind-the-
scenes stadium tours. The tour costs £15.00.
COVENT GARDEN Covent Garden is a popular destination for
visitors who enjoy shopping, theatre, restaurants, bars, history and culture.
BUILDING
Charles I recognised that, although London had many fine churches and palaces nothing compared with structures in the rest of Europe.
There are many different influences from architectural fashions from five different centuries.

Many exhibitions are free or £3- £18. Theatre tickets are £15- £65.
